Piri Piri
Description: The Piri Piri Chilli also known as the African Bird’s Eye Chilli (Capsicum frutescens) is an extremely hot member of the Capsicum family which registers at up to 100,000 Scoville heat units (SHU) - by comparison a pimento pepper registers at between 100-500 SHU’s. Our Piri Piri spice is a fiery blend of garlic, salt, chilli, onion, basil and cayenne pepper.
A little goes a long way and can be used to add spicy heat to meat, poultry and fish dishes. Amazing used to make your own range of piri piri sauces, pizza sauces, dips and marinades.
Allergy Advice: This product contains chilli and basil which contain naturally occurring sources of salicylates and is best avoided by people eating a salicylate free diet.
